Alerts & Telegram
Get fills, risk, and news notifications and query your account from the Aegis Telegram bot; admin actions require confirmation.
Overview
Aegis keeps you in the loop two ways: an in-app Alerts inbox and a Telegram bot you can link to your account. Together they cover both passive notifications and on-demand queries without keeping the dashboard open.
The Telegram bot
Link the bot to your account to receive notifications and to ask about your positions from anywhere.
Notifications
The bot pushes events as they happen, including:
- Fills — when an order executes.
- Risk — limit breaches, reservations, and kill switch events.
- News — market news that Aegis classifies deterministically; when enabled, news can escalate risk to CLOSE_ONLY.
Queries
Ask the bot about your account and it replies with a snapshot:
- Positions — what is currently open.
- Orders — working and recent orders.
- PnL — realized and unrealized profit and loss.
- Risk — current limits and status.
Admin actions require confirmation
Sensitive actions triggered through the bot are gated: the bot asks you to confirm before it proceeds. This keeps a chat command from making an irreversible change by accident.
The in-app Alerts inbox
Inside the dashboard, Alerts is a notification inbox. It collects the same classes of events — fills, risk, and news — as a reviewable feed, so nothing is lost if you were away when it happened. It is a record of notifications, not a place to place orders.
